Specimen Requirements
Specimen Type: Lithium Heparin, EDTA Plasma or Serum
Collection Container/Tube: Green, Lavender top (EDTA), Gold (gel separator) or Red (plain)
Specimen Volume: 1.0 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Allow serum tubes to clot completely. This may take up to 30 minutes.
2. Remove sample from cells by pipetting.
Specimen Transport Temperature
Room Temperature - 48 hours
Refrigerated - 3 days
Frozen at -20C - 30 days
