Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Arterial whole blood

Collection Container/Tube: Lithium heparinized syringe only

Specimen Volume: Syringe must be full

Collection Instructions:

1. Syringe must be full

2. Keep syringe tightly-capped.  Specimen should be analyzed within 15 minutes of collection.

3. Specimen cannot be on ice.
